As I was browsing through my blog list, I came across this blogging challenge over at Jasmine's and Angela's blog, The Happy Sloths. I have never done a blogging everyday challenge, so I'm a little nervous I might miss a day, but I figured I'd give it a shot! I will still be posting my regular beauty posts, so you may get two from me in one day! I know you're excited! Anyways, day 1 is about your current relationship, and if you're single, discuss how single life is.
I am currently engaged to David. We're getting married on September 14th of this year and I'm so flipping excited, I can't wait! I will be the first to admit and say it's not easy, but it's not hard either, if that makes sense. We've been together for almost 3 years and engaged for 2 of those. Actually, our 3 year anniversary is June 16th! We moved in together July of last year, and again, it's not easy! Being a big girl on my own is a struggle sometimes, but I still have David by my side.
Anyways, we met through an old co-worker of mine who set us up. In all honesty, I had given up trying to find someone. I had never had a boyfriend or anything before, but pretty much all guys I knew were douchebags. Eventually I told her I'd meet him, and we went bowling and got pizza for our first date. We literally sat at the pizza place til it basically closed just talking. I pretty much knew then I had a keeper. Basically ever since then, we've been inseparable. We didn't see eachother every single day, but we always hung out whenever we could.
Even though he's my first and only boyfriend, I know he's the one for me. He is the guy version of me. Just more of a nerd, which I love! People say all the time, "how do you know you're gonna stay married?" "How do you know he's the one when you haven't had other boyfriends?" You know, sometimes you just have a good feeling about something, and you don't let that go. I've always been a big believer in using my intuition with things, and someone or something brought us together. We both don't believe in God, but we met for a reason, and we're together for a reason. He may annoy the hell outta me sometimes, but I love him more than he knows.
