30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 30: Highs and Lows This Month
Today's the final day of the blogging challenge! I can't believe I actually stuck to it and did every one. Anyways, the last post for this challenge is to write about your highs and lows for the past month.
I honestly don't have too many lows. Of course I had my days where I wasn't feeling good and I was moody, but that's normal. Nothing particularly bad happened either, so that's really good.
I don't really have any highs either. The best thing though was my bridal shower yesterday. My mom and aunt set it up and it was so much fun. There were only 10 people there, including myself, and my dad and brother showed up a bit later, so it wasn't big but I had fun and the people who mattered most, were there, so I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Otherwise, this past month was just meh, I guess.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 29: Goals For The Next 30 Days
Now for today's blogging challenge, we have to write down what goals we have for the next 30 days.
- I'd like to lose some weight. I don't really have a set goal like 5 pounds or 10 pounds, I really want to lose just a bit, especially with my wedding coming up.
- I'd really like to post more on my blog. With this blogging challenge, I proved to myself that I can blog everyday. I'm not sure if I want to blog every single day, but I'd like to work up to that.
- I'd like to have a more positive outlook on things. I can be so unhappy about things and I'm at the point where I feel like if I can think more positive, then things will get better. It's going to be tough, but I'm going to try.
- I'm also hoping I can figure out more wedding planning stuff. We're having some issues with the location and whatnot, so I'm hoping my mom and I can figure out a place where we can have the wedding and reception. September 14th is coming up!
30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 28: Something I Miss
Hey guys! Sorry this post is up a day late. My fiance and I have company over this weekend so I had to clean and whatnot and I didn't have time to write up this post. Anyways, day 28 of the blogging challenge is to write about something that you miss.
I miss being a little kid. I feel like when you're little, like 3 and 4, you're still so innocent and in your own little world just being a kid. It's tough getting older when you're trying to fit in with everyone, but when you're a kid, you just don't care.
I miss playing with all my Barbies, I miss playing dress up, I miss listening to my little story tapes before I went to sleep.
I just miss being a kid.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 27: Problems
We're getting through the home stretch of this blogging challenge and in today's post, we're talking about a problem that we have had.
Now, again this is a bit vague so I'm guessing we can talk about something with work, relationships or just life in general. Ima be honest here and say that I've been having a problem with work.
Seriously guys, alot of people think that retail is so easy. You get to stand behind a cash register and ring up costumers all day. Not where I work! I still won't say exactly where I work, but it's really tough sometimes. Yes, it's easy to work the register once you know what you're doing, but there's so many extra things involved in my job. I've been working at my current job for a little over 3 years now, and I did like it when I first started, but then I started noticing that management doesn't really want to help employees and the employees who have been there for years and years hate new people that start working there because they never wanna do the extra work.
Which is where recovery comes in. I work in a department where the fitting rooms have to be checked constantly. Everything then has to be hung up and put away in its proper place, and the new people don't seem to get that.
We also have sales goals to make. This is where all the employees start to hate eachother and fight over sales to be #1. I refuse to fight over sales because it makes the customer feel like a piece of meat. I do like when I make my goal because it affects my scorecard, which ultimately results in whether I get a raise or not.
I probably sound like I'm not making any sense, but what I'm trying to say is that retail is so not what alot of people make it out to be. We have to put away things, we have to help customers on the selling floor, we have to make our goals, and alot of other things, most times by ourselves. There are many days where I'm in the department all by myself and I feel like I have to be in 5 places at once. I have a customer at the register, but wait, someone needs help on the floor, oh there's also that rod of fitting to be put away. I'm only one person and management expects us to do it all by ourselves.
Some days I like my job, other days it's pure Hell. I get yelled at by customers because a certain piece of merchandise was on the wrong rack and when I show them where it's supposed to be along with all the other things, they demand to see a manager, and the manager gives them what they want! It's truly amazing to me that a grown person can basically throw a temper tantrum because they want a full priced item at 65% off, and management gives it to them.
I know that retail is not what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. For now, it's sort of paying my bills and when people ask if I like working where I work, all I say is, "it's a job". Finding a good job is really hard to come by, but I'm trying to make the best of it. I try to go in with a positive attitude, but when management is breathing down your neck to make goals and customers are yelling at you for an item not taking a coupon, it gets really tough. I think I'm too nice for retail. There have been many days where I end my shift and I go home crying because I had such a bad day. I wake up with anxiety and constant stomach aches whenever I have to go in. If you're part-time, I think it's okay. When you're full-time like me, it definitely gets tough.
Man, sorry that's such a long post! Sometimes, you just gotta vent and let things out. Really though, if you just want to work in retail part-time to earn a little extra cash, go for it. Part-timers do better than full-timers anyways. If you wanna be full-time, really think about it! It takes over your life and you basically have no time for yourself, unless you're management. You start out with 5 weeks vacation....

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 26: Who Attracts Me?
Today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about what kind of person attracts you.
When I was a teenager, I admit, I was attracted to the bad boy type, even though I knew they were bad news. I was also attracted to the nerdy type too and knew that they would be better for me but of course, the bad boys stood out more.
Once I grew out of the teenage years, I liked nerds. Still do, and I got one in the end! Seriously, my fiance is the biggest nerd I've ever met, but that makes him so darn cute!
I'm not sure what look I went for when I was younger. I liked a different mix of looks. I think I liked the blonde hair, blue eyes look the most, yet I ended up with a brown haired, brown eyed boy. Growing up, I wasn't too picky. I just wanted to end up with a nice, funny, nerdy boy, and I did, so yay!

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 25: People are Fascinating
So today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about a person who fascinates you and why.
This is going to sound so bad, but no one in particular fascinates me! I find alot of people fascinating in their own ways. I'm a people watcher, which I know can sound weird, and I always tend to find something fascinating about them whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. I've always been fascinated by why people do the things they do and their little quirks, which is why I can't really think of one person in particular.

Influenster June 2013- Something Blue Bridal VoxBox 2013
Hey everyone! I was so excited when I got an email from Influenster saying I'll be receiving the Something Blue VoxBox! This box is for people who are getting married themselves or are attending a wedding this Summer. I'm sure you all have read already, but I'm getting married in September so this came at the perfect time! So let me show you what I got and what first impressions I had.
This is everything I got in the box, so there's a good mix of stuff here!
The product I was actually most excited to receive is the Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste. Apparently it has Bluverite technology that creates the optical effect of instantly whiter teeth, with results that last for hours. I have yet to try this toothpaste, but I'm very curious to see if it works. A bottle of this toothpaste retails for $7.99.
I also was very excited to see two packages of Q-tips Precision Tips. They're made with pointed tips at both ends with 100% pure cotton. These are good for touching up eyeliner, precisely applying concealer and perfecting manicures. I'm looking to use these for when I do my nails. I'm complete rubbish at painting my nails and get nail polish all over my cuticles so maybe these will help me. A package of these retails for $2.59 to $3.35.
I'm a little nervous about these Kiss everEZlashes. I've never used false lashes before, but these come with a little thing of lash glue and an applicator, so I may try them and see how they are. A package of these retails for $4.98 .
I also received a package of Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions. These are supposed to help with ball of foot pain and the slim design prevents feet from sliding forward and helps avoid toe scrunch. I'm honestly not sure if I'll try these. I don't wear heels and I'm most likely wearing flat sandals for my wedding, so I might not need these. A package of these retails for $6.99.
I then received a little packet of Urgent RX Fast Powder in lemon-lime flavor. These little packets have a fast-acting flavored powder medication in them. I'm curious to try this if I do end up getting a headache. One packet retails for $1.39.
The last thing I received is a catalog for MyTrio Rings. The rings are very nice, but David and I already have our rings. He bought my engagement ring and wedding band together because it was cheaper that way, and I bought him the black tungsten ring he wanted as his wedding band. It was a nice thought to include this, though.
Overall, I like what I received in this box and I'm excited to try everything out!

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 24: Favorite Movie
I'm not sure if I mentioned before, but my all-time favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's probably an odd choice for a favorite, but I love it!
Anyways, The Nightmare Before Christmas is produced by Tim Burton, and he's one of my favorite producers/directors. The main character's name is Jack Skellington and he's basically the head of Halloweentown, where he and other monters, ghosts, vampires etc. live. He becomes obsessed with the Christmas holiday and wants to take over the role of Santa Claus, but causes pain and destruction instead of happiness.
There's another character, Sally, who is a human ragdoll and she tries to get Jack to stop what he's doing because she knows bad things will happen. She has feelings for him, but he doesn't see it throughout the whole movie until the end where they both admit their love for eachother.
I don't know if that's a good description of this movie or not, but I've loved it ever since I was little and could watch it over and over again. The soundtrack is amazing too!

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 23: 5 Famous Hot Guys I Like
1. Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Sixx:AM- When my love of hair bands started, Motley Crue always stood out to me and they're still my favorite band to this day. Nikki Sixx is the bass player of the Crue and also has a side band called Sixx:AM. He's so incredibly talented and I think he's so handsome!
2. Brad Pitt- I don't think I need to give a description of why I like him. All I'll say is Legends of the Fall. Watch it!
3. Johnny Depp- Again, he probably doesn't need a description of why I like him. He's just amazing.
4. Ryan Reynolds- All I can say about him is *drool*
5. Daniel Craig- I just fell in love with him after Skyfall. Oy vey, he's beautiful and he's British. Good combo.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 22: How I've Changed in Two Years
Today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about how you've changed in the past two years.
To be honest, I really don't think I've changed much. Yes, I live on my own with my fiance and we're getting married in a couple months, but I don't feel any more grown up than I did two years ago. I still have the same job and everything. I don't know, this isn't a very interesting post I guess.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 21: Favorite Show
Today's topic for the blogging challenge is to talk about one of your favorite shows and as you can tell, one of my all-time favorite shows is Supernatural!
Supernatural is about Sam and Dean Winchester, who are both "hunters." They hunt evil, paranormal forces and basically try to kill them. It's just such an awesome show! I don't know how to explain it really without giving too much away. I just love watching the Winchester brothers as they go on their journey trying to get rid of all the supernatural forces. Amazing show, look it up!

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 20: Education
Hi guys! Today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about how important you think education is.
This is an interesting topic. I know so many people who think education is the most important thing you can have, but I feel a bit differently.
Now don't judge me here, but I quit high school half way through 11th grade. I won't go into details but I had my reasons as to why I quit. I do have my GED, so I'm not a total failure. When I left high school, I went to cosmetology school. While I passed the course, I unfortunately didn't go and take the test to be a certified esthetician. Why, do you ask? It's stupid really, but I got freaked out about touching people's faces and whatnot. Weird, I know. If I wanted to get licensed, I don't think I'd have to take the whole course again, I'd just have to go and take the pre-test to get set up for the actual test, then go get certified. Then why don't you just go and do that, you ask? Good question! Honestly, I don't really know the answer to that. I guess part of it is I don't really have the time and it will cost money to do all that, and I don't have that either! I probably will get certified someday.
Anyways, time to get away from my story of being a high school drop out. I know so many people I did go to high school with who went to college, spent alot of money in the process, and can't find jobs to save their lives. They're doing something they didn't go to school for, they're working in retail and restaurants, or they're married and have lots of kids, living off the government. Sad, but true.
I don't really know where I'm going with this, but going to a good college doesn't guarantee you getting a good job in the end. There are a few people I know who did get the job they wanted after college, but they're few and far between. It's quite sad honestly. I would like to maybe go back to school, but not until I know for sure what the hell I wanna do with my life and it's guaranteed that I'm getting a good job afterwards. Until then, I guess I'm stuck in retail.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 19: Disrespecting Parents
Today's post for the blogging challenge is about disrespecting parents.
Now I'm not sure if we're supposed to talk about if we've ever disrespected our parents or what we think about disrespecting parents.
I guess I'll talk about both and start with if I have ever disrespected them. I honestly can't recall if I ever did or not. I mean, I'm sure when I was younger I was probably sometimes an annoying kid and whatnot but I remember just being well behaved. Whenever my brother and I were in public, we were always well behaved. We never ran around restaurants or movie theaters. We wanted to sit there and eat our food and watch the movie! I can't remember when I was a teenager if I disrespected them or not. I was always a pretty quiet kid and never talked much. I liked sitting in my room, keeping to myself. I'm still kinda like that.
Now for what I think about disrespecting parents. I think it's horrible honestly. I see so many people from working in retail, and the kids and teenagers treat their parents like crap. I kid you not, I see some teen girls saying I want this and I want that, and the parent says okay. I wanna be like, really?! You're gonna let your spoiled brat of a kid get away with demanding things from you by giving it to them?! It's horrible. It just amazes me sometimes what kids and teenagers get away with. I never did the things they do today and wouldn't even dream of it.

June 2013 Ipsy Bag
Hey guys! I'm finally able to throw in a beauty related post in the midst of the 30 day blogging challenge I'm participating in! I'll be showing you what I received in this month's Ipsy bag. I'll say now, I feel a bit meh about it.
This month's theme was On The Wild Side, and I think the bag itself is so adorable! I'm usually not a fan of the neon highlighter yellow color, but it fits with the animal print design. Onto the products!
First off, sorry about the weird lighting. It's been gloomy and raining all day and I couldn't get good pictures to save my life. Anyways, the first product I received was the J.Cat Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette. I'll say right now that I'm about 99.9% sure that this will not be used. To me this is something a little kid would play with. Not a fan.
The next product I received is the NYX Mosaic Blush in the color Dare. I was really hoping for one of their regular blushes honestly. I'm glad I didn't get a cream one as it would just slide off my face. I'm still going to try it and see how I like it. I'm just worried that the darker colors will look muddy on me.
Next, I received the Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil. I wasn't really sure what I'd use this for, but I was reading other people's reviews and got some ideas for highlighting the inner corners of my eyes and maybe using it on my waterline. Hopefully it won't smudge!
The next product is from Cailyn Cosmetics and it's their Line-Fix Gel Eyeliner with a built-in brush. The brush is absolutely useless. I tried this out on Sunday when it was my fiance's and my anniversary and I love the purple color I received, but the brush, holy cow does it suck! Now I've mentioned before that I'm not a pro with gel eyeliner, but the brush didn't create an even line and it looked very patchy. I didn't want to fuss with doing it over again, so I tried my best in fixing it. Next time I'll try the eyeliner brush from Sephora I like to use when using gel eyeliner.
The last product I received is a Starlooks Lip Pencil in the color Bare. I'm not too happy with this product, as I don't use lip liners. It looks like dirt when I swatched it too, but oh well. I'll see if I can use this as something other than lip liner.
Like I said, I feel meh about this bag. I'm not super unimpressed, but I do hope next month's bag is better. I really like though how Ipsy is trying to tailor bags by the individual person receiving it. It makes it seem more personal. And honestly, for $10 a month, plus tax for some, you really can't beat it. If you're interested in trying Ipsy, here's a referral link to get started!

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 18: My Beliefs
Today's topic for the blogging challenge is to talk about your beliefs.
This is a bit vague of a topic but I believe that everyone should have a happy healthy life in which they have everything they need to survive.
That is all.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 17: Highs and Lows This Past Year
Today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about your highs and lows this past year.
2012 was a decent year for me, but it wasn't great. I moved out of my parent's house and got a place with my fiance in July, which was definitely a high but once winter time came it was really hard. My fiance is in construction so winter is always really tough in finding work. Of course when we moved it was fine because he had steady work, but then it died off in October/November. With my retail job not making it any better, I wasn't sure if we'd make it. We always made rent and paid bills on time though, and David was still able to find work here and there, but he had no work for literally almost a month at one point. I'm a really lucky girl though because I have amazing parents who helped us out alot at that time by getting us giftcards to get groceries and whatnot. They still help us out now, but damn, I hate winter.
Hurricane Sandy was a big low too. We didn't have power for nearly a week and we lost all of our food in the fridge and freezer. We had just gone shopping to prepare for the storm too and that killed me. We had to go to my parent's house to shower and charge up our phones. Sheesh, I really hate thinking about Sandy. I was seriously in full-on depression mode. Our house was freezing, I wasn't able to cook anything so I had to constantly buy breakfast at Wawa and buy lunches at the food court at work. That got real expensive. One decent thing about that hurricane was that our electric bill for that month was about $10 less than the month before.
I can't really think of any other highs and lows. The major high was just me moving out on my own, trying to be a big girl. The main low was all of winter. Seriously, I hate winter.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 16: Mainstream Music
Today's post for the blogging challenge is to talk about your views on mainstream music.
First off, I'm sorry this post is going up so late! My 3 year anniversary with my fiance was today and he took me shopping and we went out to lunch, so we weren't home much. I'm also trying to figure out when to write up my beauty posts. I know I've been slacking with those, but I just received my Ipsy bag in the mail and a VoxBox from Influenster so expect posts about those coming up!
I know today for a fact, that I can't stand mainstream music. Justin Bieber sucks, all the annoying pop girl singers suck, boy bands today are horrendous, and I really just can't stand it.
Back in the day however, when I was in 3rd grade, and Hanson was big, I loved them. I even made my poor mother take me to a concert of theirs. The concert from what I remember was alright, but there were so many girls just screaming, you could barely hear anything. No wonder they were serving wine to the parents...
Also, when the old school boy bands were big like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, I loved them too. I loved the Backstreet Boys more though and went to one of their concerts when I was in 6th grade. That was actually an amazing concert. They had some major talent.
Thinking of what I like today, I'd say about 98% of it is older music. My favorite band of all-time is Motley Crue. I'm a rocker girl through and through and love my old rock/hair bands. From Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith to Poison and Warrant. Some rock bands from today I like are Shinedown and Three Days Grace. I don't really think they're considered mainstream, but I don't care.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 15: Favorite Tumblrs
Hey guys! Today's post for the blogging challenge is to post your favorite Tumblrs.
Now, I don't have a Tumblr, and I hardly go on it, but my uncle has one and I check out his once in a while. He's an artist and photographer who loves to draw and photograph weird stuff like different monsters and he does artistic nudes. I personally think his work is amazing, but I am weird after all.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 14: My Earliest Memory
Today's post for the blogging challenge is to write about your earliest memory. Mine is actually kinda sad, but hey, it's what I remember.
I was in pre-school and I would always bring in a bag with my stuffed animals in it. During nap time one of the teachers wouldn't let me take my stuffed animals out of the bag to snuggle with because she said they had germs and I'd get sick. I remember crying, thinking that they were being suffocated, but the teacher didn't care. I don't remember her name, but she wasn't very nice from what my 4 year old self can remember.
Anyways, I still have some stuffed animals from when I was younger and my favorite is a stuffed bear I got when I was 1 day old, and his name is Bear-Bear. Yes, I still have him, and yes, I still sleep with him at night. Don't judge, I must still think he's traumatized from being suffocated in a plastic bag...

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 13: Oh The Places I'd Go
Day 13 of the challenge is to talk about somewhere you'd like to move or visit.
When I was younger, I always dreamed of moving to California. I loved how beautiful California seemed with the nice weather and scenery. Plus, famous people live there!
Now that I'm older, I still think of California, but really only as a visiting place, especially San Diego. I also really, really, really, really wanna visit Italy! I wanted to go there for my honeymoon, but it's way too expensive, and I'm broke. Maybe someday...
I really wanna just travel the whole world. Something in me wants to get out there and explore places I've never been. A girl can dream, right?

Review: Perlier Shower & Bath Cream Kit
*Disclaimer: I was sent these products complimentary from iFabbo for review purposes. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
I had never heard of the brand Perlier before, but when I saw these on the iFabbo site, they stood out to me because I love trying out different bath and body products. These are nice sized samples so I was definitely impressed right away.
They sent a shower cream and body cream in 4 different scents and the first one was made with 100% organic Italian olive oil. This smells nice, but it definitely reminds me of scents my great grandfather used to use. The shower cream lathers up nicely and feels very moisturizing. The body cream is also moisturizing, but feels light and sinks into the skin nicely.
The second scent is made from 100% certified Italian organic honey. This stuff smells incredible! I'm obsessed with anything that smells like honey though, so I was happy. Again, the shower cream lathered nicely and the body cream was light but hydrating as well.
The next scent is made from white almond with cold pressed and pure almond oil. This scent is my absolute favorite of the four. Almond oil smells incredible and I love baking with it too. Anyways, this shower cream actually didn't lather up as well as the others but I didn't really care because the smell was just amazing. The body cream felt very hydrating and a bit thicker than the first two I talked about.
The last scent is made with pure 100% certified organic shea butter and citrus. This stuff smells interesting because I've never smelled anything with shea and citrus together. I surprisingly really like it though. The shower cream lathered nicely and the body cream to me is the thickest out of the four.
Overall, I really like these products! I think the sizes of the bottles I received are perfect for travel, but there are definitely bigger sizes here, where you can also take advantage of taking $5 off any Perlier product purchase at HSN.com by using the promo code ifabbo5.

30 Day June Blog Challenge- Day 11: Ipod Shuffle!
Hey guys! Todays post for the blogging challenge is to put your Ipod on shuffle, and write down the first 10 songs that come up. I have to say, my Ipod is so old and dead and I can't find the charger to save my life. Therefore, I have to go onto iTunes and shuffle my songs from there. Hope that still counts!

2. Sixx:AM- Life is Beautiful
3. Avenged Sevenfold- Gunslinger
4. New York Dolls- Pills
5. Def Leppard- Hell Raiser

7. Flyleaf- What's This?
8. Shinedown- Second Chance
9. Nickelback- Rockstar (Don't judge. I love me some Nickelback!)
