Review: Jan Marini Clean Zyme Face Cleanser & Skin Zyme Face Mask

*Product provided for review via BrandBacker*
Jan Marini is a brand I had heard good things about, but never got the chance to try, until now! I was able to try out the Clean Zyme Face Cleanser and the Skin Zyme Face Mask. You all know my love for anything skincare related, so I was super excited to try a new-to-me brand!

Here is some info on the brand itself:

Jan Marini Skin Research is one of the most respected brands in professional skin care. JMSR has formed associations with some of the world's leading physicians and research scientists to develop cutting edge solutions to today's most common skin concerns. JMSR has introduced a host of technological firsts, has been awarded numerous patents and has published multiple independent peer-reviewed studies on it's products.

Here is info on the products:

Clean Zyme cleanser and Skin Zyme mask are supplemental home care exfoliation products that have the ability to remove dead skin cells without harming sensitive or irritated tissues. Use anytime for an immediate polished look! Intended to be used as a pair. Both products are also great when used as part of a comprehensive skin care regimen. Proteolytic enzymes gently resurface to reveal healthy, smooth and polished skin

Instructions for using Clean Zyme:

Clean Zyme should be applied in place of regular cleanser and left on 1 to 2 minutes. Remove with a clean, wet and rung out washcloth using lukewarm water. Blot dry.

Instructions for Skin Zyme:

Apply Skin Zyme in a thin, even layer over entire face (and neck, if desired) and allow to remain for up to 20 minutes. To Remove Skin Zyme, apply a small amount of Clean Zyme to face and massage very gently to achieve emulsification. Remove with a washcloth and splash face 10 to 15 times with lukewarm water. Blot dry and follow with usual Skin Care Management products and/or moisturizer.

These products were very interesting for me. I'm mainly used to cleansers that foam or at least have a nice lather to them. Clean Zyme is basically just a gel that you rub onto your skin that has no lather whatsoever. However, it is very effective in cleaning my skin and makes it feel soft and supple.

Skin Zyme is a creamy mask that doesn't dry down and feels very nice on my skin. I typically prefer clarifying masks that draw out impurities, so this was a different, but welcome, change to my regular masks. Using a drop of the cleanser to remove the mask is quite different for me as well, but makes removing the mask easier than what I'm used to. The mask is a beige-y green color that sort of reminds me of avocado.

Both products have a light, refreshing scent that isn't overbearing, and both products haven't irritated my skin. I definitely feel like my skin was softer, and more plump after using this duo.

The Clean Zyme and Skin Zyme duo runs $90 on the Jan Marini website.

Keeping Cool During Summer w/ Evian

*Product sent courtesy for review thanks to Evian and BrandBacker*
Ah, Summer! A season that most people love, but when it's ridiculously hot, no one is happy. I'm a fan of warmer weather versus cold, but in the Summer when it gets humid, I totally like staying inside with the AC on full blast. Now that we have our daughter here, we want to try and get out a little more, but make sure we all stay comfortable in the heat.  Evian makes it easy to help stay cool, and refresh tiny hands and faces!

Here is some info of the brand:

Evian® Natural Brumisateur Mineral Water Facial Spray gently cleanses and helps refresh baby's skin. From the French Alps, Evian® has a unique balance of minerals, a neutral 7.2 pH, and is free from any chemicals so it won't irritate your baby's delicate skin. Our spray is also propelled by nitrogen, so it's safe for babies and for the environment.

As a new mom, chemicals are something I've been trying to stay away from. If you're not an avid reader of my blog, my daughter had open heart surgery on March 1st, so it's been very important to me that I watch how she is in heat, and that I'm not getting nasty chemicals on her skin or near her mouth.

Evian says, "Moms can use the spray to rinse off sticky fingers and messy faces, during diaper changes, to sooth irritated diaper rash, kid's hair brushing or styling, and many more. There is no limit to your creativity when it comes to your kids, as mom's already know."

This is now a diaper bag staple for us. If we're out and she gets messy, I just spray a little Evian onto a cloth and wipe up her face. She also has sensitive skin and is prone to diaper rashes, and this helps immensely with irritation.

Evian is also very kind to be giving away a diaper bag, as well as several sizes of their sprays! This giveaway goes until June 30th, so be sure to enter here while you still can!

Review: NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash

*Product provided for review thanks to NeoStrata and BrandBacker*
I never used to be a fan of Glycolic Acid, but when I was given the chance to try the NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash, I was very intrigued.

Here is a little bit about the product:

There's a reason NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash has been a cult favorite for those in the know for years:

NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash is a potent, pH-balanced facial cleanser formulated with 18% Glycolic Acid and 2% Lactobionic Acid to smooth skin texture and unclog congested pores. Recommended for experienced Glycolic Acid users, this soap-free face wash prepares skin for optimal benefits of the regimen that follows.

The benefits:
This cleanser is recommended for experienced Glycolic Acid users who are ready to kick results up a notch. Best used as part of an anti-aging regimen, NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash targets congested pores and encourages cell renewal for skin that’s prepared for optimal benefits of the regimen that follows. Once you’ve tried it—you’ll never go back to a regular face wash again. Here’s to a fresh-faced, younger-looking you!

How to use: Twice a day, pump a moderate amount of foam into hands. Apply to wet skin and cover entire area. Rinse with water.

Key ingredients: Glycolic Acid, Lactobionic Acid.
Recommended for: Experienced AHA users looking to step up their skin care regimens

Size: 3.4 fl oz
Price: $40 at NeoStrata.com

I first really enjoy that this is a super foamy cleanser. It makes it a great cleanser to use in the warmer months when my skin tends to be more oily. The scent is very medicinal to me, which I actually tend to like.

Now that I'm getting older, I really need to make an effort to consistently take care of my skin. Glycolic Acid used to not agree with me, and I'm thinking part of the reason was because my skin just didn't need it at the time. Glycolic Acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) and that is meant to work on the top layer of skin. It doesn't penetrate the pores like BHA's (beta hydroxy acid) do, which is what my skin typically loves.

From the combination of getting older, and having a baby born early and being in the NICU for 4.5 months, it's taken quite a toll on my complexion. I've noticed it become more tired and dull looking, and the texture I have now is insane. After just one use of this cleanser, I did notice much softer skin, and that was even before moisturizing. After using this every night for over a week, my skin started looking more bright, and the texture seemed to slowly be getting better. Directions say to use this morning and night, but because I want to slowly introduce Glycolic Acid, I'm starting with just once, at night.

I'm normally a person who thinks cleansers with fancy ingredients aren't really worth spending money on, since they just get rinsed down the drain. However, I have completely fallen for this cleanser and just might be buying this.

You can find this cleanser here on the NeoStrata website

Derma E Launches New Packaging!

*Disclosure* This post is sponsored by Derma E. All opinions are 100% honest and my own like always!

Hey guys! I have some exciting news from Derma E for you today. They are going to be launching new packaging starting Sepetember 2016 through March 2017, and I have to say, I really feel this is a wonderful change the brand is doing.

The packaging on the left is the older packaging. To me, it's nice but very medical looking. When I'm in-store looking at products, it's not really something that stands out to me.

The packaging on the right is the newer, fresher look. I have to say, I absolutely love it! It's calming, relaxing, and definitely something I would pick up in the store.

You might be wondering if formulas are changing as well, and they are most definitely not! All products will still be the same great formula we all know and love, just in a newer, updated packaging.

You may have already seen a few products in the newer packaging, like the Hydrating, Anti-Wrinkle line, Firming, and their best selling Microdermabrasion Scrub and Overnight Peel. I'm a big fan of the Microdermabrasion Scrub, and their Hydrating line is amazing for my oily skin in the colder months.

I love both of the products pictured above. The Day Creme is great for day or night (for my skin at least), and I feel the Night Cream has a bit of extra hydration for the super dry skin types.

As I stated above, the new packaging is rolling out slowly with the first products being the ones I already mentioned in September, and slowly introducing the others through March 2017. Derma E is available in Ulta, Whole Food's, Sprouts and Target.

I, for one, am very excited for this relaunch. I've gotten the chance to try a few different products of theirs in the past, and now with the new packaging, I feel like it's more spa-like and calming, which is definitely something I love. With a new baby on the way, I'll have to be sure and take some pampering time, and Derma E will definitely be included in that!

What do you think of the new packaging design?

Review: Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer

*Disclosure* Product mentioned was provided for review thanks to BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always

Hey everyone! I had the chance to try out Valentia's new moisturizer, the Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer. I've done many reviews of their products in the past, and the line is truly amazing! I was so excited to try this out, since my skin needs the help.

Here is some info on the product, as well as key ingredients:

Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer - A lightweight fast absorbing cream that illuminates skin while providing all-day hydration.

This Brightening Moisturizer Will:
- Lighten dark spots
- Restore skin radiance
- Even skin tone
- Diminish fine lines
- Provide all-day hydration

KEY INGREDIENTS:

- Botanical Hyaluronic Acid: Floods skin with moisture, supports skin elasticity, and plumps skin from within.

- Kojic Acid: Controls melanin production and prevents dark spots.

- Ginseng: Boosts skin firming collagen, fights wrinkles, and gives the skin a brighter and more energized look.

- Safflower Oil: Repairs skin's natural moisture barrier and provide superior skin protection.

- Shea Butter: Infuses skin with a myriad of vitamins and nutrients for superior skin hydration and nourishment.

They always say that pregnancy makes you have a certain "glow." Well, I think that glow missed me, because I don't have it, despite people saying I do. This moisturizer sounded like it might help me in that area! I love the bottle it comes in, it's a nice and sturdy bottle, that I'm pretty sure is glass, and it's got a pump. You get a whopping 4 ounces of product, which I think will last a very long time, especially since I only use it once a day. The lotion is truly lightweight when applied to the skin, but sinks in well and provides nice hydration for my oily skin. I have noticed a brightened affect to my skin, so it could be a combination of using this in the mornings, as well as making more of an effort in taking care of my skin more.

You can find this for $25 here on Amazon! Also be sure to check out their website, Facebook, and Instagram

Review: Dr. Formulas Nexabiotic Advanced Multi-Probiotic

*Disclosure* This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dr. Formulas via Brandbacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always. Post contains affiliate links.

Hey guys! I was given the chance to try out these probiotics from Dr. Formulas. Since using these, I have to say, I'm happy with what they've done for me so far!

Here is some info on the product from Amazon:

Why do we need probiotics? Typical modern diets are too sterile and not diverse enough to maintain optimal probiotic levels. Our food supply is now more processed, sterilized, and loaded with more antibiotics than ever before. What are probiotics? In the normal human gut there are over 100 trillion bacteria. As you get older, get stressed, or take antibiotics those normal good-guy bacteria die off. These probiotics do everything from helping to break down food, providing essential nutrients like vitamin K, and keeping the competing bad bacteria at bay. Probiotics supplement the gastrointestinal tract with those known, good, beneficial organisms. Probiotic supplements are one of the most popular health supplements because they actually work to help maintain digestive health. Why Nexabiotic? Nexabiotic has been formulated to cover all bases in terms of probiotics. Nexabiotic provides your digestive tract 23 different kinds of probiotics at a substantial dose (34.5 billion CFUs) which helps restore digestive balance. Not only that but Nexabiotic capsules are also specially engineered so that its high-quality probiotics survive the harsh stomach acid and make it into the gut where they need to be.

Since becoming pregnant, I've had to be on antibiotics twice so far, and I've had digestion and stomach issues. I always heard that probiotics were good to take, but was wary of taking them. I got the ok to take these, and so far I've been very happy with them! The directions say to take 2 a day, but I take 1. I thought 2 was just too much for me. I haven't had anything that requires me to take antibiotics now, and my stomach problems have lessened quite a bit. Pregnancy just makes my body do weird things, so I don't expect it to be a breeze. These probiotics have helped me feel somewhat more normal.

You can find these probiotics here on Amazon for $23.41 for the 60 count. They also have formulas specifically made for infants and kids!

Have you used any probiotics before?

Review: Aquation All Day Moisture Care

*Disclosure* Products were provided for review thanks to BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always.

Hey guys! I had the chance to try out a new line of skincare by the brand Aquation. They were very kind and sent three different products to try: the Gentle Moisturizing Cleanser, Daily Moisturizing Lotion, and Moisturizing Cream.

Here is some info of the line:

There are endless elements that affect your skin daily – not all of them in your control. There is a solution. Skincare that protects, restores and fortifies, with moisture you can feel. Clinically proven results you can see. Moisture balance technology you can count on. The perfect Aquation for hydrated + healthy skin.

Powered by Hydro Balance™ our advanced dual phase technology delivers hydration and creates an invisible barrier to help prevent moisture loss while encapsulated actives penetrate deeply for long-lasting hydration. 100% of women in clinical trials saw more hydrated skin, even up to 24 hours. 93% experienced instant hydration. 93% found non-irritating.

Aquation is sold exclusively at Walmart.

The cleanser is my favorite product out of the three I got to try. Here are the product details:

Gently cleanse away dirt, oil and makeup while infusing moisture—revealing fresh, soft skin. Our formula won’t over dry or strip your skin and is enriched with ceramides and hyaluronic acid to help maintain the skin barrier.  For use on face and body.

This cleanser is fragrance free, non-comedogenic and sells for $8.96.

You only need the tiniest amount of product to cleanse your skin, seriously. A full pump is way too much, so half a pump is all you need. I like using this at night as it really helps to remove makeup well and clean at the same time. After cleansing, my skin feel so hydrated and fresh and I wake up with it feeling super soft. I think this is going to be my go-to drugstore cleanser from now on.

Here are the product details for the Moisturizing Lotion:

Experience ultimate moisture with Aquation Daily Moisturizing Lotion powered by Hydro Balance. The advanced dual phase formula enhanced with ceramides and hyaluronic acid delivers instant hydration and creates an invisible barrier to stop moisture loss while encapsulated actives penetrate deeply for 24 hours of hydration. The result is noticeably softer, beautifully balanced healthy skin.

This lotion is fragrance free, it instantly hydrates and again sells for $8.96.

I really enjoy this lotion as well. It's a bit too heavy for daytime use right now, but at night it's great! I think this would be an awesome lotion for your body as well if you're not super dry, but still need some kind of moisture.

Here are product details about the Moisturizing Cream:

Experience ultimate moisture with Aquation Moisturizing Cream powered by Hydro Balance. (It's the same description as the lotion, which is odd to me)

This cream soothes itch and irritation, softens rough skin and costs $8.96

This cream is super think and hydrating, and it definitely too heavy for me to use on my face. Maybe in the Winter it will be better, but for now, I use this just on my legs as it helps to get rid of the itchy skin I've been having lately.

Overall, these three products from Aquation are pretty great! They're an incredibly affordable price, don't irritate my skin at all, and can be used on the face or body. Multi-use products are an amazing thing now, especially since I have a baby on the way and I'm trying to simplify my routine.

Review: When Revitalizing Face Masks

*Disclosure* Products were provided for review thanks to When and BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always

Hey guys! You all know how much I love a good face mask, but sheets masks I haven't been very impressed with. I had the chance to try out two from a brand called When.

Here are some product highlights:

When uses an all-natural bio-cellulose sheet that is made from coconuts, which is gentle enough to treat burn patients. Despite its light weight, the bio-cellulose sheet can hold essence 100 times its weight, that is 10 times more than fabric or paper mask sheets. As much essence as it holds, the bio-cellulose sheet delivers essence to skin with minimum wastage by maintaining exceptional dermal contact.

Natural, hydration, adhesion - the elements you demand in a face mask, When has them all at their best.

You can find these masks in many different retailers including Sephora, Ulta, Birchbox online, and Ricky's NYC, and they cost just $7 each.

The two masks I was sent to try out are called The Last Choice and Snow Magic. The Last Choice is good for dryness, dullness and uneven skintone. Snow Magic is good for dryness, dark spots and uneven skintone, and dullness and uneven texture.

Remember when I said above that I never really got along with sheet masks? Well, these are kinda the same, but the way they make my skin feel is nice. I always have issues with how sheet masks fit and they just don't seem to do much for my skin. These are good though, especially for such a low price. I'd definitely be willing to try out different sheet masks from the When brand, as there are some decent reviews on the Sephora site for others I'm interested in. Be wary though if you're allergic to coconut, since these are made from coconut. I'm hearing so many people are allergic to coconuts lately, and it's in everything these days. Just a warning!

You can find more information on the When face masks here on their website, or you can just search them online!

What are some of your favorite sheet masks?

Review: derma e Psorzema Creme

*Disclosure* This post is sponsored thanks to derma e and Brandbacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be sharing with you a product that is absolutely incredible for helping with eczema, psoriasis, or just really dry, flaky and itchy skin. I had the chance to try out the derma e Psorzema Creme, and let me tell you, it's fantastic!

First off, here is derma e's backstory of Plant Powered “Non-Prescriptions”:

If you’re living with eczema or psoriasis, you know how painful, frustrating, and even embarrassing it can be. Recurring patches of dry, red, itchy, flaky, irritated skin can make you want to hide.

You may have turned to prescription treatments or over-the-counter products only to be dissatisfied with the results, or the fact that they contain ingredients like steroids, coal tars or pine tars. The good news is that we’ve formulated something incredibly effective, and so safe that the entire family could use it.

derma e Psorzema® Crème
is made with a safe and effective blend of herbal extracts and skin vitamins such as Neem, Burdock, Bearberry, Vitamins A and E to help soften and soothe dry, irritated, scaling skin. It’s natural blend of ingredients help reduce redness and encourage healthy looking skin without the use of steroids, coal tar or pine tar.

The results
Aside from experiencing eczema and psoriasis symptom relief, participants were pleased with the overall feel and look of their skin.
• 96% felt very moisturizing
• 92% felt soothing upon application
• 88% helped skin look healthier
• 72% helped relieve itching

For me, I do not have psoriasis and I feel for anyone who does, because I can tell it just looks so painful and irritating. There are times throughout the year where I get eczema, and it makes my skin feel so dry and itchy, and I go through so many different lotions and creams, hoping it'll provide me with relief. I tend to have eczema flare-ups on my arms in the Winter, and then again in Spring when the weather doesn't know if it wants to be warm or cold. Lately, it's been raining pretty much for 2 weeks straight and it's colder than normal, so of course it's making my skin freak out. I couldn't wait to give this a go and see how it worked for me.

The product comes in a 4 ounce jar with a twist off lid. The cream is thick and white, but it melts into the skin perfectly and doesn't leave a greasy residue. The blend of different vitamins in this product help to soothe and soften my skin almost instantly. There is no distinguishable scent that I can tell, and it's not overpowering at all.

derma e has a video on YouTube, which you can watch here, to learn more about this product and you can see results that others have experienced.

If you have any of these skin issues, I do recommend giving this product a try. It's helped out my skin and has made it feel softer and less flaky and itchy.

derma e does have a disclaimer on their site that states: "Psoriasis and Eczema usually have an internal component that needs to be addressed in order to resolve the condition completely. We highly recommend you work with a natural healthcare practitioner to help resolve this condition. There are many types of skin conditions, and what works for one individual may not work for others."

You can find Psorzema at health food stores as well as the derma e website for $19.95.

Review: Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme

*Disclosure* Product mentioned was provided for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always.

Hey everyone! I'm really excited to be doing this review today of the Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme, as it's really been treating my skin very well.

Here is a little bit of information about the product:

This gentle, soap-free formulation was created for even the most sensitive of skin to dissolve makeup and impurities and help improve skin’s texture. Formulated with Gluconolactone (a Polyhydroxy Acid), this cleanser provides anti-aging benefits without irritation and has been both Dermatologist and allergy tested.

The benefits:

This comfort-rich cleanser gently removes makeup, surface oils and impurities without altering the skin's natural moisture balance. The soothing creme formulation is blended with an anti-aging Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA), along with skin conditioners and nourishing botanicals to soften and soothe while improving the skin's texture. This dermatologist developed soap-free cleanser is highly moisturizing and ideal for dry or sensitive skin. It's also wonderful as a makeup remover and can be rinsed or tissued off for a clean, refreshed complexion. Dye-Free. Paba-Free. Dermatologist and allergy tested.

The directions say to moisten hands and face. Dispense product onto fingertips and massage onto face and neck using an upward circular motion. Tissue off or rinse thoroughly with warm water, and pat dry. This can be used morning and night.

I've been using this at night and it's probably one of the most effective cleansers that removes my makeup that I've ever tried. Seriously, it takes everything off like a dream, and it rinses off nicely as well. I absolutely love using this in conjunction with my Clarisonic as it really gives me that deep clean that I sometimes need. It's a very creamy consistency that doesn't foam up at all, which I surprisingly really enjoy. This makes my skin feel soft and hydrated, and not tight or dry. I also really like the scent too. To me, it smells like coconut, but I don't see an ingredient in the product that would make it smell that way. It's kind of weird, but I'm not complaining!

This product costs $32 and you can find it here on the Neostrata website. Also, be sure to check out their Twitter page here!

Review: Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum

*Disclosure* Product mentioned was provided for review thanks to BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always!

Hey guys! I have, yet again, another review on a Valentia product. I hope you aren't getting tired of me talking about Valentia, because their products are just that good! Today's review is on their Royal Rose Hydrating Serum, and it has definitely been a staple in my morning routine lately!

According to Valentia, this serum will:

- Deeply moisturize skin
- Provide antioxidant protection
- Soothe & nourish dry skin
- Smooth skin tone & texture
- Boost skin radiance

Some of the key ingredients are:

- Rose Damascena: One of the most nourishing and skin friendly natural oils, providing balance, moisture, and a variety of vitamins and minerals to the skin.
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B): This potent vitamin has been clinically proven to fade away hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and acne..
- Rosehip Seed Oil: Naturally rich in Vitamins C & A, these essential fatty acids work quickly to lock in skin's moisture.
- Evening Primrose Oil: Provides light, non-oily moisture to the skin, never clogging or irritating the skin.
- Bearberry: Reduces melanin production, thereby lightening the skin, revealing a brighter complexion.
- Lavender: Heals the skin, treating pimples, wounds, and sores.

What I first love about this serum is that it doesn't smell overly like roses. I'm not the biggest fan of rose scented products, to be honest, because they normally give me a headache. This smells like a combination of rose and lavender, which I so appreciate. Now I've mentioned on here before that my skin has been going crazy lately. With the weather being warm one day, then freezing the next, my skin doesn't know whether it should be its normal oily self, or drier than the Sahara Desert. Most days, it's more on the dry side and this serum has helped tremendously in balancing it out! In the morning after cleansing and toning, I apply two pumps of this serum all over my face and neck. I finish off my routine, and I feel like my skin is so much more balanced throughout the day when using this, versus something else. I can't say how well this helps with pimples, as my skin has been surprisingly clear lately. Hydration-wise, I absolutely love this and find it well worth the $35 price tag.

You can find this product here on Amazon or on their website. I really think this serum is fantastic if you need that extra hydration in your skin. It hasn't clogged my pores or made me break out either, which is a plus!

What are some serums you enjoy?

Review: Oz Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser

*Disclosure* I received this product for review thanks to BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always. First link is an affiliate link

Hi everyone! You all know my love for skincare is strong, and I had the chance to try out the Oz Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser. I was excited to try this because I've gotten to try the brand in the past, and have been impressed.

Here is some info on the product from Amazon:

- CRUELTY FREE formula does not contain alcohol, parabens or sulfates and is safe for all skin types
- MADE IN THE USA in a state of the art FDA registered facility - OZ Naturals formulates the most effective anti aging skin care products on the market
- NATURAL & ORGANIC facial cleanser is considered to be the highest quality skin cleanser on the market.
- POWERFUL INGREDIENTS include rosehip oil, rich ocean minerals & vitamin e - this formulation was developed to specifically be gentle on sensitive skin yet highly potent and effective at dissolving nasty particles that clog your pores.
- THIS FACE WASH is guaranteed to gently cleanse your skin and clear clogged pores naturally & effectively - this cleanser will provide your skin with that healthy, youthful glow.
Since trying out this cleanser, I can say that I like it, but I'm not in love with it right now. It's a gel based formula that foams up pretty nicely, and with the way my skin is at the moment, it's a bit drying. Normally, I have very oily skin, but with the weather being so fussy, it's making my skin fussy as well. It's dry one day, and oily the next. I love how this cleanser smells very lightly of roses, and I also like that it does a good job of cleaning my skin. I don't recommend this for makeup removal as it didn't do much in that department. It also burned my eyes, and I like to use a cleanser on my eyes to remove makeup. Regardless of the eye burning, this is a otherwise a gentle cleaner and is good for sensitive skin. I personally am going to save this cleanser for morning use, when the weather gets warmer and my skin is way more oily. If you have very dry skin, you may not like it, but everyone's skin is different!
Overall, I would recommend this cleanser if you have oily, or combination/oily skin. It is effective at cleansing and it smells surprisingly nice. It's not that expensive either, just $22.49 for a 4 ounce squeeze bottle on Amazon. You also only need a small amount to get the job done, only about the size of a dime.
What cleansers do you like to use?

Review: Derma E Firming DMAE Eye Lift #NOTICETHELOTUS

*Disclosure* This post is sponsored thanks to Derma E and BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always

Hi everyone! I was so excited to be chosen to talk about the Derma E Firming DMAE Eye Lift. You all know I love a good eye cream, and Derma E is known for being free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil and petrolatum, as well as cruelty-free, gluten-free and 100% vegan!

Derma E is now selling a few of their products at Target, with the Firming DMAE Eye Lift being one of them. I've tried just a couple Derma E products in the past, and have always been impressed. I definitely love what the company stands for in regards to animal welfare and taking care of the planet.

The Derma E DMAE Eye Lift is said to visibly lift, firm and tighten the delicate eye area, while smoothing crow's feet. DMAE is clinically proven to boost collagen for firmer, more resilient skin. InstaLift® Goji Berry glycopeptides add further firming, lifting and tightening antioxidant power. Advanced peptides Argireline® and Matrixyl® synthe'6® work together to soften facial muscles and synthesize new key components such as collagen, helping smooth wrinkles and discourage new lines from forming. Hyaluronic Acid, also known as nature's moisture magnet, infuses a surge of cooling eye moisture helping leave skin soft, smooth, tone and rehydrated. With continued use, this is said to leave the eye area firmer, smoother and younger looking.

Since I started using this, I can definitely tell a difference with the skin around my eyes. I used this morning and night for about a week, then just at night for another week and a half. I love how hydrating this feels while sinking in fast, and it just feels like my eyes are brighter and smoother. I don't have wrinkles yet, but I do get dehydration lines. Those are gone since starting to use this!

There is a video on YouTube that you can watch here to see the results people have gotten from using this eye cream, and some of them are pretty fantastic!

Now that Derma E is at Target, what are you planning to pick up? Next time I go, I definitely want to see what they have to offer (along with buying some things I probably don't need, but hey, that's what Target does to you!).

Review: RevivSerums TelomErase Serum

*Disclosure* I received this product complimentary from BrandBacker for review purposes. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing a product that sounded so interesting, and I was really excited when I was given 2 deluxe samples to try. The RevivSerums TelomErase Serum sounds like a miracle for the skin when you read the ingredient list and the claims it has.

Here is some info of the product from the RevivSerums website:

TelomErase Triple Telomere Targeting Serum is next-gen age-defying technology: a 6-in-1 multi-corrective that erases, tightens, brightens, blurs, moisturizes and regenerates. It contains the most powerful combination of new ingredients available to visibly reduce the appearance of sags & bags, dark circles, fine lines, sunspots, redness, pore size & laxity.

Here is a list of the key ingredients, and what they're for, also from their website:

CYCLOASTRAGENOL is a novel molecule isolated from the astragalus membranaceous root. This hard-to-source ingredient has been shown to have telomerase activation activity both in vivo and in vitro and has been shown to reverse visible signs of aging.

TELOSOMYL® is a unique ingredient enriched in linear galactans derived from a particular type of red algae, Kappaphycus alvarezii. TELOSOMYL when tested on pre-senescent human fibroblasts, significantly reduces stress-induced telomere shortening by 65%. In a confocal microscopy study, 75% of human test subjects received more than a 30% improvement in the appearance of the dermal matrix. In a fringe projection study, TELOSOMYL improved skin roughness in 79% of the test subjects, and improved skin volume in 67%.

RENOVAGE™ has clinically proven anti-aging effects by addressing telomere stabilization.

PEPHA®-TIGHT is a unique natural tightening and firming active ingredient that delivers both a fast, instant tightening experience, and a superior long term skin firming effect.

EYESERYL®: A tetrapeptide with a recognized efficacy against puffy eyebags, Eyeseryl reduced eyebags in 70% of test volunteers after only 15 days, as well as decreased dark circles under the eyes by inhibiting vascular permeability. It can also provide a visible lifting action on sagging upper eyelids.

REGU®-AGE: is specially purified soy and rice peptides and yeast-derived superoxide dismutase. It has been shown to visibly reduce dark circles and eye puffiness, strengthen connective tissue, reduce inflammation and prevent UV damage.

aFGF (Recombinant Human acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor): This growth factor or cytokine helps stimulate skin stem cells to rejuvenate both the epidermal cells and the underlying fibroblast cells, which produce collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. aFGF can help remove the appearance of pigmentation, improve complexion, reverse skin damage and tighten skin.

SYMSITIVE™ 1609 works as a fast-acting “anti-nerve hyper-activator” to calm over-reaction of hypersensitive skin, and help prevent stinging, burning & tingling.

NANO-LIPOBELLE™ DN CoQ10: A supersaturated CoQ10 double phospholipid nano-emulsion, Nano-Lipobelle DN CoQ10 contains ultra-small particles of highly purified coenzyme Q10, tocopherol (vitamin E) and ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate (vitamin C), creating a liposome. Together, they ensure fast penetration into deeper skin layers to maintain activity & potency and become a potent moisturizer.

So basically, this serum is truly supposed to be a miracle for your skin. In my honest opinion, after using up both of the sample bottles I was given, I don't think it's a miracle, but it is a nice serum. I used the first bottle just at night, then used the second one at night and in the morning. I don't think that made a difference, though. Either way, my skin felt hydrated, soft and my pores definitely seemed to be smaller. I never used it under my eyes since they're super sensitive to what I put there. Overall, I am happy with what this did for my skin, but then again, I don't have wrinkles or sunspots. I'm not terribly happy with the price tag of this...

A full sized 2 ounce bottle normally costs a whopping $300! I was given a coupon code for you guys to receive 10% off of the $149 introductory sale price, if you use the code TIGHT10, through December 31st. You can find the product here

Note: Because of patent restrictions, not to be sold or shipped to Japan.

I don't know about you guys, but this stuff is incredibly expensive. I only had tiny samples to work with that only gave me about 2 weeks worth of use. I don't think I'd personally buy this myself, but if I had the money to spend, I might just to see if the full size is worth it.

What do you think of this serum? Does it sound like something you would try?

Review: Dr. Xu's Restful Sleep

*Disclosure* Product was provided for review thanks to BrandBacker. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always!

Hey everyone! Today's review is going to be of a natural sleep aid called Restful Sleep. I was definitely interested in trying this as I usually have trouble falling and staying asleep at night.

Here is some info on the product from the brand:

Natural sleep supplement calms your mind, so you can wake up refreshed...but not drowsy.

Traditional Chinese Medicine herbs and essential minerals in Restful Sleep™ help to:

- Calm and quiet a restless mind and body
- Promote a full night’s restful sleep
- Nourish chi to bring harmony and balance into the body
- Promote calm throughout the day
- Restore vitality to the spleen and heart organ systems

The capsule is the typical size for a supplement, so it's not hard to get down. The directions say to take 2 capsules 30 minutes before bedtime with a 4 ounce glass of water. After taking these, I can say that they do make me feel more sleepy in that time frame. I was able to fall asleep relatively quickly, and I did sleep pretty well throughout the night. I only woke up a couple times, but that's better than how many times I normally wake up. I ended up taking these for about 5 nights, then decided to stop taking due to personal reasons (which I will be able to touch on in the next week or so). In those few nights I took them, I was pleased with the results and I didn't wake up feeling groggy or weird, like other sleep aids tend to do.

These are fairly pricey at $39.99, but you can find them here on Amazon, and I also have a 20% off code for you if you're interested! The code is SAVEREST and it's good til December 31st of this year.

Review: Oz Naturals Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Dermafoliant

*Disclosure* I received this product complimentary from Oz Naturals and BrandBacker for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own, like always!

Hello everyone! I was given the opportunity to try out this Oz Naturals Rice Exfoliant, and I was really excited because it reminded me of another product by a different brand. I was curious to compare the two, and it's safe to say they're different!

Here is some info on the product:

OZ Naturals FACE SCRUB EXFOLIANT utilizes bamboo to gently exfoliate skin and unclog pores without irritation, drying or stripping.
FINALLY A FACIAL SCRUB THAT contains lactic acid and alpha lipoic acid to further help the exfoliation process by breaking down and removing dead skin cells, revealing the glow of healthy skin beneath, and assists in reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging from sun damage.
ANOTHER KEY INGREDIENT, green tea extract, is rich in antioxidants and helps to prevent collagen breakdown as well as tone and protect the skin from the damaging effect of free radicals.
THE PRO-VITAMIN B5 IN OUR scrub is readily absorbed by the skin and penetrates deep down, retaining moisture and relieving dry, irritated skin, and Alpha Lipoic Acid provides anti-inflammatory effects reducing redness and blotchiness, shrinking pore size and imparting a healthy radiance to the skin
SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES, our bamboo exfoliant is all natural and free of harmful ingredients.

The twist top opener is kind of annoying because I end up getting the powder everywhere. Despite that, the scrubbing grains are pretty nice for exfoliation. They're a bit rough, but if you're gentle, it's fine. I'm confused with rice being in the name of the product because I'm not quite sure which ingredient contains it, it could be the sucrose, but I'm not 100% sure. The directions say to take a nickel size amount and add some water to make a paste, then gently rub into skin in circular motions, and leave on for 5 minutes. After I rinse it off, my skin is pretty darn soft and I notice my serums and moisturizers that I put on after sink in alot better. When I first received this, I thought it would be like the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, but this is more abrasive than that one is.

This exfoliator costs $24.95 on Amazon, and I do find that to be a fair price, but I personalyl would not purchase this myself.

Would you try this exfoliant? What exfoliator do you like?
