July 2016 Empties

Hey everyone! It's time for yet another empties post, where I share with you all the products I used up the month before. July wasn't so great with using up products, but at least I finished up some things.

I used up a few different skincare products, and the first one is the Ole Henriksen Balancing Cucumber Face Mist. I used this by spraying some onto a cotton pad and applying it to my face that way. If I sprayed it directly onto my skin, it burned my eyes pretty bad. Despite that, I felt this was a decent toner. It got the job done but it was pretty fragrant. I doubt I'd repurchase.

I finally managed to use up the StriVectin Repair & Protect Moisturizer. I had done a full review on this here, and I much preferred this in the colder months versus the warmer months. I just had a little left, and even though it made me pretty greasy, I didn't want to wait until Winter again to finish it. This is an ok moisturizer. I found it made my skin a bit itchy though, so I won't purchase myself.

Next up is the DDF Ultra Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew. I freaking LOVED this stuff! It was a hybrid gel-cream formula that made my skin so silky soft, and it was great on days when I didn't go outside but wanted to hydrate my skin. I may repurchase this once I use up the moisturizers in my stash.

Last for skincare is the Pur~Lisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed Treatment Sheet Mask. I was honestly pretty impressed with this mask! I've always said in the past that I wasn't a fan of sheet masks, but I think I'm starting to change my tune. I've realized that I need to tone my skin before I apply one and they work so much better. I definitely want to try more sheet masks but ones that are more affordable.

I feel like my husband and I go through the Sound Body Dandruff Shampoo fairly quickly. I don't use this often, but my husband washes his hair alot and mainly uses this stuff. Since it's been on the blog often, I won't go into this much, but we both like it and it's pretty much just like Head & Shoulders, just much cheaper at Big Lots.

I did a review here on this Keranique Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Volumizing Keratin Conditioner duo back in December. For lack of better words, I absolutely loathed these products so much! They did nothing to help my hair and actually made it feel like straw. Even though I was sent these to try, I hate wasting product, so I used these up but hated every second of it. Stay away from these!

Lastly, we have some bodycare. My husband and I both used up the Suave Creamy Cocoa Butter & Shea Body Wash, and I LOVED how this smelled! I just love shea butter in general, but this was amazing, and super inexpensive. I usually buy these at my local Wegmans when they're on sale and if I have a coupon, so I end up only paying about $2 for it. We will repurchase when we use up our massive stash.

I used up a deluxe sized sample of the Perlier Honey Shower Cream. I have so many deluxe samples of many different products, and I want to get through them. I really enjoyed using this! It smelled a little more flowery than sweet, but it was still nice. I had a whole set of Perlier things sent to me a while ago and still need to use the rest of them up. I don't think I'll repurchase this though.

Number of products used up: 9
Total for the year: 96

I was so hoping to break 100 products by now! I definitely think my goal of using up 250 products for the year is further out of reach, so now I'm going to aim for 150. I need to make it a priority to do my makeup more and treat my skin better, which will hep me clear out my massive collection. Being pregnant hasn't made it easy, but I'm almost half way through, so I need to get my booty into gear!

What did you use up recently?

April 2016 Favorites

*Post contains affiliate links*
Hey guys! I know, it's been a while since I made a real post on here. I honestly haven't been feeling very good lately and have also been feeling a bit uninspired with writing. I love this little space of mine and want to try and put in more effort, just being sick and all has really put a damper in things, so I truly apologize for my absence! I have just a few favorites to share with you from the past month, as I haven't even really been wearing much makeup lately.

The first product that I've been loving is the Suave Creamy Cocoa Butter & Shea Moisturizing Body Wash. My husband is helping me use this, and I have to say, this is probably one of the best body washes I've ever used! First off, it's only about $2 or $3 with a good sale and coupon, and it's so moisturizing on the skin. It smells incredible and works just as well as any expensive body wash I've tried. Once I use up all the body washes I have, including samples, I'm going to continue buying just the less expensive body washes.

Next up is a product I'm sure I've mentioned on the blog before, and it's the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream. This stuff is freaking fantastic for my fine, but dry hair. I don't wash my hair everyday, and it tends to get dried out at the ends. When I use this after my shower, my hair is so silky soft, that I can never stop touching it. It makes my split ends look less noticeable and the overall look of my hair is better. You only need the tiniest bit to get the job done though, so this bottle lasts a very long time, and it's under $10.

I was never the biggest fan of lipsticks. I had gotten two NARS lip pencils as a birthday gift from Sephora, and I completely fell in love with the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in the shade Cruella. This is the perfect red for me! It's cool toned and has a soft, matte feel on the lips. It's not uncomfortable at all, it wears well, and I'm very tempted to buy the full size of this when I run out of this sample size!

My last favorite product of April is a lip balm. I had received the Olive Natural Beauty Moisturizing Lip Balm in the scent Refreshing Rosemary in a previous Ipsy bag, and finally pulled it out last month. I have such a hoard of lip balms to go through, it's quite sad. This little tube is quite small though, so I see myself using it up fairly quickly. I just absolutely love the way this smells, and it makes my lips feel so incredibly soft.

May 2015 Empties

Hey everyone! May was an awesome month with using up products. I think this was the most products I've ever used up in a whole month, which makes me pretty darn excited. Anyways, get a snack or a drink since this may be a long post.

I tried putting the products together in categories, so first up is the skincare. I used up the Adeline Anti-Aging Moisturizer. I did a full review of this here, and since using it up completely, I'm a bit indifferent on it. I liked it, but wasn't wowed by it. It smelled really nice, kinda like peppermint, and it just seemed like a regular moisturizer.

Next up is the Boscia Charcoal Pore-Minimizing Hydrogel Mask. I also did a review of this here, and it just didn't work for me. I hear so many good reviews of these masks, So I'm not sure what the deal is. The only thing I liked is that it actually fit my face well, otherwise it's just a meh product.

I always say this, but it's never an empties post for me if I don't have The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner in it. Absolutely love this stuff and it will probably always be my favorite toner of all time.

I had used the bareMinerals bareVitamins Skin Rev-er Upper a long time ago as a treatment under moisturizer. When I found it in my stash, it wasn't as good as I remembered it being. It used to make my skin feel and look nice, but this bottle didn't really do much for me. I'm honestly not sure if this product is still around, but I highly doubt I'd buy it again if it was available.

I was a pretty big fan of the Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser with White Tea. It lasted me quite a while too because you need the tiniest bit to get a good foam. This cleanses well, but the only gripe I had is it burned like Hell around my eyes.

I've loved the Clinique Moisture Surge for years, and this one is their Extended Thirst Relief version. I only used this at night and it made my skin feel amazingly soft and hydrated. This product in its full size is pretty expensive, but I may consider buying it once I use up what I have in my stash.

I didn't actually get to use the Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturizer because when I open it, it smelled awful and was yellow. Just nasty, so in the trash it goes!

I'm also throwing out the Valentia Organic Rosehip Oil. I did a full review of this, and I'm not a fan. I did like how it made my skin look and feel, but I can't get past the smell of it. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch, but it smelled rotten to me.

Now for some health/body products. I have finally used up the Perlier Limone Italian Sorbet Body Water. I had done a review of this ages ago here and found it so interesting. It's not necessarily a moisturizer, it's like a gel that crackles on your skin and it's so refreshing to use after a really hot day and a nice shower. I'm not sure if I would buy it for myself, but it's such an interesting product that I might consider it.

Another Perlier product I used up is the Volcanic Stones Thermal Scrub. I reviewed this here, and at the time, I did like it. Now that it's used up, I love how this smells, it's like a spa, but the scrubbing particles kinda hurt my skin.

I finished up a Natrol Biotin 10,000 mcg tablet bottle. I take one of these every morning to help with my hair, skin and nails. My nails are always nice, but I don't think this works for my hair. I keep using it in hopes it will eventually.

I used up the Wegmans Topcare brand of Sensitive Toothpaste. I liked this alot and it only costs about $3. Much better price than other sensitive toothpastes around.

Now for a few random makeup type products. I'm actually sad to have used up the Skindinavia Bridal Makeup Finish Spray. I bought this for my wedding back in September 2013. I loved it back then and I loved it til I used it all up. I'm not very picky with setting sprays and can kinda use whatever and be happy, but there are sentimental reasons to this one!

I hadn't used this Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Skin revival Night Treatment since I was probably a teenager. I remember using it and thinking it never really did anything. It was a powder that you put all over your skin at night and it was supposed to help with skin turnover and large pores. Since it is so old, I don't want to chance it so it's getting thrown away.

I reviewed these Dermalogica Precleanse wipes here and I didn't really care for them. At first I wasn't using them correctly, and found out that I had to wet these after an initial use to remove the rest of my makeup. I'm not a fan of these and mainly used them for rubbing off swatches.

Last few products! I used up the Suave Keratin Infusion Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner, but not at the same time. I always use up shampoo first for some reason, and a couple weeks later, I used up this conditioner. I'm a big fan of suave hair products because they make my hair feel so soft and healthy.

The last product is the Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial foaming hand soap in the scent Creamy Pumpkin. I love their hand soaps so much and always stock up during a sale. This scent was really nice, kinda like pumpkin pie but without the cinnamon.

Well, that's everything I used up! Not too shabby if you ask me, and if you made it til the end, you're awesome and I love you :)

How many/what products did you use up in May?

October 2014 Favorites!

Hello everyone! October is officially over, which means it's time to talk about the products I was loving last month. I have to say, I'm very happy with the products I've been trying out lately, so lets get into it!

Now I know mouthwash may seem like an odd favorite to some, but this stuff is seriously amazing! The Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection mouthwash is great. It's alcohol free which for me is the best because other mouthwashes burn the heck outta my mouth. This makes my mouth feel so clean and fresh after I use it and I probably won't go to anything else. This is by far the best mouthwash I've ever used. Hubby likes it too :)

Next up is the Suave Keratin Infusion Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner. Since coloring my hair a burgundy/auburn color, I really wanted to make sure I'm taking care of it properly and not having the color fade like crazy. I have had some fading in my hair, but it's not bad to where it looks horribly faded, it's more of a natural looking fade, if that makes sense. Anyway, I love how this combo makes my hair feel and look. Plus, it smells amazing and it's super inexpensive at Walmart.

Now for some skincare. I've had this Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay for quite a while now and have only used it a small handful of times. When I tell you this stuff is intense, I mean it! You take equal parts clay and add either water or apple cider vinegar, mix it up and apply to the skin. You can use it on your face or body, which is pretty neat! I've been loving this for my face because it really helps with breakouts and large pores, and it just smooths everything out wonderfully. I follow this mask up with the GlamGlow Hydrating mask and it's a match made in mask heaven. My skin looks gorgeous after them!

Now we have a new toner I've been trying out and it's the Peter Thomas Roth Aloe Tonic Mist. You all know how much I love The Body Shop's Aloe Calming Toner, but I had this in my stash and wanted to use it first before I bust open one of those. I have to say, I'm impressed with this! I actually spray a bunch onto a cotton pad and apply it that way. I notice if it gets near my eyes, they tend to sting a little for some reason, so applying it with the cotton pad gives me more control. Otherwise, this toner feels great on the skin and preps it well for serums and moisturizers.

This wouldn't be a favorites if I didn't include something from The Body Shop! Their Aloe Protective Serum is amazeballs! I'm pretty sure I've included this in a favorites post before, but I love mixing some of this into my morning moisturizer for extra hydration. My skin can tell that it's getting cooler, therefore it's starting to dry out. This gives me the extra hydration I need without feeling too heavy or too light. I have so many backups of this, so I'm stocked for a while.

Lastly, we have makeup! First up is the much talked about Lorac Mega Pro Palette. I did haul it here, and a Fall look here featuring this palette. I think this is so beautiful and has so many amazing colors. I wasn't going to get this at first, but I got sucked in and had to have it. I'm so glad I bought it because I know I'll get so much use out of it! My one and only gripe is that it's fallout central and kicks up alot of powder as you dip your brush in.

Lastly, we have two of the Too Faced Melted lipsticks that came in the Melted Kisses set from the Sephora Friends & family haul I did here. I remember saying in that post that I wanted to try some of these but didn't want to spend the money on a full sized one. I saw the set online and figured it would be a great way to try 4 different colors. I have not tried the other two yet, but the ones pictured above, Melted Nude and Melted Peony are fantastic! The color payoff is great and they last a long time on the lips for me. I am tempted to buy some full sized ones, but I doubt I will because there is enough product in these for me to like them and not get tired of them.

What were you loving in October?

December 2013 Empties!

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you everything I used up in December. Now if you remember my empties post for November, I said I wanted to use up a total of 20 products in those two months. Well, in November I used up 13 products, which wasn't too shabby. But in December I used up 14 products! I'm so excited that I made and exceeded my goal! 27 products in two months combined is pretty freakin' awesome for me, so lets see what I used up last month!

My husband was the main one using this Rusk Sensories Brilliance Grapefruit & Honey Color Protect Shampoo, but I helped use it too! He doesn't have color treated hair, but my mom had given us a bunch of these shampoos to use, and he's not picky so he took it. I do have color treated hair, but I don't care much for this. I feel like I have to use a ton for it to lather nicely but it does smell really, really good!

I finally used up the Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Conditioner that I was using since probably last Summer. For some reason it takes me forever to go through conditioners, but this one in particular took so long! I'm not sure what it is, but you don't need much of this to make your hair feel soft and healthy. I loved this stuff and will probably repurchase once I use up everything else I have, and don't come across something I like better!

I used up the Philosophy Shower Gel in the scent Sugar Plum Frost. This is one scent by Philosophy that I kinda didn't like, which is a shocker. I'm obsessed with these shower gels/shampoos/bubble bath combos. I don't ever use them as shampoo or bubble bath, but they're the best shower gels ever! I just didn't care for this scent but it did the job cleaning my skin!

I finished up (mostly) a Philosophy Body Lotion in the scent Cinnamon Buns. Now I say mostly because the packaging sucks at being able to get every drop out to use. I had to take the pump out inside and smack it on my hands to get anything out at the end and eventually I just gave up. I do however love, love, love how this smells! It really does smell like fresh made cinnamon buns and I loved using this after my shower.

I then used up a tiny little body butter by the brand On10 in the Sweet Chocolate scent. I honestly can't remember when I got this, but I think my mom got it for me for Christmas a few years ago. I know that seems like a long time, but I made sure to do a sniff test and look at it and it wasn't separated at all, so it was fine! I probably got about 10 to 12 uses out of this even though it seems like a small pot. I didn't need to use alot of this to get the hydration I needed.

I also used up a Natural Factors Vitamin D3 softgel. I take extra D3 because I hate the sun and feel like a vampire, plus I tend to deal with some depression. I keep reading that you get D3 from the sun and it can help with depression, but I honestly don't know if it's true or not. I still take it for the supposed health benefits anyways!

Man do I go through these Aloe Calming Toners from The Body Shop! I've mentioned these about a million and one times, so I won't ramble on about how awesome this toner is. Seriously, try it out!

I used up a moisturizer that I was using in the morning from Clean Scene called Begging for Balance. This moisturizer was alright but I won't go out of my way to find it and buy it again. It did its job at moisturizing my skin and keeping it a little less shiny than normal, but it didn't do any kind of miracle for my skin.

I also used up my Neutrogena Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55. Phew, that's a long name! I actually liked this stuff! I kept hearing so many people saying they hated it and it broke them out. Not for me! I think this actually helped my skin and kept it matte for a pretty long time. I don't know if this beats out my favorite sunscreen, the Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock, but this comes very close! Depending on pricing, I'll buy this again!

I finally used up the lip balm I was using for daytime use, and it was the On10 Lip Balm in the scent Lemon Lime. I like these lip balms because they have sunscreen in them and they smell really good! I still have so many lip balms from this brand to use up, so I don't need to purchase any for a long while!

I used up quite a few mascaras. If you remember me mentioning about the stye I had, I got a bit paranoid and got rid of the mascaras I had used during the couple days prior to my eye getting bad. The Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara is fantastic! This gives my favorite mascara, the bareMinerals Flawless Definition, a run for its money! I constantly got compliments when I wore this mascara and was even asked a few times what falsies I was wearing. *Confession* I've never worn falsies in my life!

I was also using the Sephora Lash Plumper Mascara and to me, it was actually pretty good. Once my stye came out in full force, I got rid of this and found another one in my stash, but the wand was so smushed and clumped, so I had to toss it as well :(

The Too Faced LashGasm Mascara is a surprise to me with how much I liked it! It gave me natural looking lashes that had good length and surprising volume. I like how I was able to get to all my baby lashes in the corners and overall, this was just a good mascara that I was sad to toss because of my eye. I may actually purchase the full size once I run out of mascaras!

That's everything! Sorry this is a long post, but I was so excited to finish up all this stuff! I'm hoping this month is good with empties too. I'm doing a spending ban currently, but I do have some birthday/Christmas money to use up still so that doesn't count! I do have a little bit of a haul using some of that money coming up so stay tuned! Also, I got my hands on the much talked about Naked3 Palette the day it came out, so a review should be coming up very soon on it!

What did you use up in December? Are you doing a spending ban as part of new years resolutions?

September 2013 Empties!

Hey everyone! I went through a ton of products this past month so I'm not going to ramble and get into what I've used up! There's a decent mix of products, so I'm really happy to have used up so much.

Starting off with skincare, I finally used up a Paula's Choice 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Lotion. This bottle lasted me well over a year, for sure. My husband and I got our own place back in July of 2012 and I was already about halfway through the bottle. I used this at night after I toned my face and I just love how this helps my skin. I have incredibly large pores that get clogged easily, and this stuff works miracles in helping them stay clear. I'm currently using the gel version of this and like it a bit better for my oily skin.

The next product I used up is the Philosophy Hope in a Jar Oil-Free Moisturizer for normal to oily skin. I liked this, but didn't love it. To me, it's a basic moisturizer that felt hydrating on the skin, but didn't make me feel like a greaseball. I didn't notice it doing anything special for my skin, but it didn't have any negative effects either. I probably won't repurchase this in the future.

My last skincare product I used up is the Freeman Facial Brightening Paper Mask in Rose. I used this the Friday before my wedding, and I have to say, this is the most awkward mask I have ever tried! Since it's a sheet mask, you take it out and place it on your face, but there are holes for your eyes and nose. The eye holes were way too small and not placed far enough apart and it burns like a mother if you get the liquid too close to your eyeballs. I didn't even notice any brightening in my skin. This was in the September Ipsy bag, and while it's awesome we got these face masks, they're so not worth it in my opinion.

I used up a Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Shampoo. I really liked this shampoo. It smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft and clean. It's really inexpensive if you buy it at Walmart. I probably paid only $3 or $4 for this bottle. I'm currently trying to finish up the conditioner that goes with this. I always go through shampoos way before conditioner. I probably will repurchase this sometime in the future.

Next up is the Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo. This dry shampoo is complete crap! Seriously, this did absolutely nothing for my hair. It just made it feel greasier and dirtier and I just hated it. The smell is atrocious as well. Like an old lady's perfume. Nasty, don't waste your money! I only used this up because I hate to waste product. It was painful having to use this and I'm glad it's gone.

Next up we have some vitamins. I used up a Nature Made Multi Complete. I honestly don't know how effective taking vitamins is, but I didn't notice a difference in anything when taking these. I still take them pretty much everyday because I'm used to it.

I also used up a Natural Factors B12 chewable vitamin. My mom actually got these for me to help with energy. I honestly didn't notice any difference in my energy levels at all. I'm not sure if you have to take these every single day to be effective, but I only took one when I really felt tired and needed more energy.

Well I finally used up a Dove Ultimate Go Fresh Deodorant in Cucumber & Green Tea scent. I say finally because it seems like it takes forever for me to use up a deodorant. I promise, I use it everyday! To me, deodorant is nothing special and I just buy what's on sale. I do like how this smells though, so that was a plus.

I used up a Neutrogena New Hands Restorative Hand Treatment. I didn't like this stuff at all. It doesn't feel moisturizing and it burns really bad whenever I put it on. Even though this stuff lasts forever, I won't repurchase.

I used up a Colgate Total Pro-Shield Plus Sensitivity Toothpaste. I'm not too picky with toothpaste, but I do usually have to buy the kind for sensitive teeth because it feels better to me.

I'm obsessed with the Bath & Body Works hand sanitizers and the one I used up is in the scent Snow Frosted Apple. This one smells so amazing and whenever I had a co-worker use it, they loved it too. I think this is a Christmas scent, so I hope they bring it back this year.

The next product is a Soho Beauty Sponge. I'm throwing this away because it's terrible and now that I have the Beauty Blender, nothing can compare to it. This one is such bad quality, it falls apart when you wet it. Good riddance to this!

I used up a little sample of the Lancome Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base. I really liked this stuff a long time ago because it made my lashes look alot longer. Now, I don't really care for mascara primers but I do have another one of these to use up plus an E.L.F. one, so once those are used up, I probably won't repurchase any.

The final product here is the bareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara. I absolutely hated this, so technically this isn't an empty because I'm throwing it away. I only used it about 4 times and it clumped on my lashes every single time really bad and it's a super wet formula. I don't know why this is getting such rave reviews honestly.

If you made it to the end, then you're awesome! I know this is a long post, but I told you guys I went through a ton of stuff! Hope you guys don't mind :)

What did you use up in September?

May 2013 Empties!

This past month I feel like I went through alot of products. I'm pretty happy with that as I have more room to shop for more things! Well.... not really. I gotta cut down on my spending, and I may actually do another spending ban. Anyways, onto what I used up in May!

The only body care product I used up is the Dylan's Candy Bar Body Smootie Lotion in the Chocolate Cupcake scent. I know ages ago I talked about the body scrub from this line in the same scent that I loved. I liked this lotion too. It wasn't super amazing, but it was a basic body lotion that smelled really good. This line of products was sold at Sephora quite a while ago and I still have a few other body products and lip balms to use up. Unfortunately, they don't make these products anymore.

I have a funny story about this next product, the Eshu Face Wash. When I was browsing the Sephora website as I frequently do, I came across this brand and bought this face wash. Well, once I got it in the mail, my mom told me that this was a men's skincare brand! I actually had to laugh, but I didn't mind this. It kinda reminded me of Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel with how it smelled.

Next, I used up Neutrogena's Fresh Foaming Cleanser. I loved this! I used it in the morning and it made my face feel so clean and happy, but didn't dry it out. I'd probably buy it again once I use up what I have in my stash.

Finally for skincare, I used up The Body Shop Aloe Eye Defense. I'm pretty much obsessed with this eye cream. It's a mix between a cream and a gel, and it's perfect for in the morning and your eyes are all puffy and red. This helps to calm that down and make my eye area feel nice and soothed. Not sure if I have another backup of this or not, but once I use up my other morning eye creams, I'll definitely repurchase!

I finally used some makeup products! It's about time The Body Shop's Mineral Foundation in the shade 01 is empty! I'm not even sure how long I've been using this little jar, but it's lasted me ages. I do like this powder foundation and the color matches me pretty well. I know I've mentioned before how fair I am, so when I find a color that matches my skin, I tend to buy quite a few backups. I probably have three or four backups of this and I'm currently using bareMinerals, so I'm set with mineral foundation for quite a while.

I'm also parting with my most favorite mascara ever, bareMinerals Flawless Definition. I did a full review of this a while ago here, so I won't go into details about how much I love this. I will say that I was going through a box of makeup I have, and I discovered I had another one of these! I got so excited, but I have tons of mascaras to go through, so I'm waiting to open it up.

These are the last products I used up! I finally used up my Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream. This was the best leave-in conditioner and I do have a backup of this. I'm currently using a product from Aussie that I featured in my May favorites, so I'll go back to this once I use up the Aussie product. I also did a blog post reviewing this conditioner here if you want more info on it.

I also used up the Suave Dry Shampoo. I did a review on this and I didn't particularly like it, but I didn't hate it either. It made my hair look less oily, but it still felt dirty, which I didn't like.

I wasn't sure if you guys care about the vitamins I take, but I used up the Nature Made Multi For Her vitamins. Nothing special about these, I just like to think I'm doing myself some good by taking my vitamins.

That's everything! Like I said, I think I went through quite a bit, and I'm very happy I actually used up makeup! I think next month should be a good month as well with empties.

What did you use up in May?

March 2013 Empties!

Hi guys! I feel like I went through a ton of products this past March! I had to actually categorize the pictures I took so everything didn't look so jumbled. First I'll show my skincare empties, then haircare, and lastly a mish-mash of things!

The first skincare product I used up was the Clean Scene Craving for Clean Cleanser. I did a full review on this in the beginning of January, which you can read here if you like. Back then, I had been using it for maybe two or three weeks, so this bottle lasted me for about three and a half months, which isn't too bad. I was only using this at night, so that's probably why. I really liked this cleanser because it made my skin feel clean without feeling tight and dry afterwards.

Next, I used up another one of my amazing The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner. I know I've talked about this a zillion times, so I won't go into just how amazing this stuff is. Pick up a bottle, I promise you'll like it!

Then I used up The Body Shop Aloe Protective Serum. I'm pretty sure I've talked about this in the past as well, but I mixed this in with my morning moisturizer to give my skin a bit of extra hydration. I'll probably always buy backups of this along with the Aloe Toner, unless something more awesome comes along. Those two products are pretty much Holy Grail products to me.

Lastly for skincare, I used up The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion. Pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but this is a great moisturizer that helps prevent breakouts. I mixed the Aloe Serum in with this because it is very drying in the Winter, but in the Summer, it's fine by itself. I know I always have a ton of Body Shop products and you're probably getting tired of seeing them, but I do have a ton of products to go through partly because I used to work there, so I'd always buy alot because of the discount, and I just love the products! I always stock up when there's a sale, so I do apologize if you're getting tired of hearing me talk about The Body Shop!

Next up is haircare! I have finally used up the Garnier Fructis Length & Strength Fortifying Conditioner. I can't even tell you how long I've had this, but it's definitely longer than when I moved out of my parents house, which was last July! I really loved this conditioner. It made my hair feel soft, and made it less tangle-y. I don't really think it helped with my hair being stronger as I let it grow out. I still have tons of split ends and my hair still breaks very easily. I'm not sure if it's genetics or what because I don't blow dry my hair at all and I very rarely use a flat iron on it. I might just need a good old fashioned haircut!

Next I used up The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner for dry hair. These were honestly nothing special. The shampoo gave me bad dandruff and the conditioner is probably the least moisturizing conditioner I've ever tried. It did absolutely nothing for my hair whatsoever. Trying to get a comb through my hair after using this was terrible, it would always snag, and I'd have to use extra leave-in conditioner to help get the tangles out. Not fun.

Lastly I used up the Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray. I did a full review here, so I won't go into great detail about it. This dry shampoo wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't amazing either. In my review I did say that it took away the oily look I had but didn't take away the oily feel, which is why I'm still looking for a dry shampoo that does both. Shortly after posting my review of this dry shampoo, I was contacted to try out another brand's dry shampoo, so I'm super excited to try it and do a review on it. Stay tuned for it! I'll probably post it in the next few weeks!

Finally the miscellaneous products. I used up The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream, and I can't say enough good things about this! It's so creamy and hydrating, but still foams up nicely when you use a loofah or washcloth. The smell is very nice and light as well, not overpowering at all. The Body Shop's Shower Creams are pretty pricey so in the future, this will be a splurge purchase for me!

Next I used up two hand creams. The first one is Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream. I had this in my purse for ages, and finally it's gone. This isn't so special in my opinion. It took away the dryness I had, but not for very long. The bottle even says it lasts through hand washings, but for me, it didn't at all. My skin was dry and flaky again afterwards. The second hand cream is a different story. It's The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector. This is the small tube they have, there is a larger one. I honestly can't remember if I've ever talked about this before, but this is probably the most amazing hand cream I've ever tried! For some reason I don't even think I put this in a monthly favorites post. Shame on me, I'll have to do a review on this, because it truly is amazing. This lasts through hand washings, and it's amazing if you have to wash your hands alot at work. I have alot of hand creams for backups, so I won't repurchase for a while, but once my very last one is used up, this is what I'm repurchasing!

The last two things I used up are lip balms. The first one is Auquafina Flavor Splash lip balm in the raspberry flavor. This wasn't that great. It didn't moisturize my lips enough, and I went through this tube in like two weeks. The second lip balm is the e.l.f. Therapeutic Conditioning Balm in the strawberry creme scent. The product is definitely not as good as the name makes it out to be. It was like the Aquafina lip balm in my opinion. This smelled amazing though, and that's the only thing I really only liked about it.

So that's everything I used up! I really think I used up a ton of stuff and I'm sorry if this post was long! If you made it to the end, I love you :)

What all did you use up recently?

March 2013 Favorites!

Hey everyone! So this month I think I have a decent amount of favorites. I haven't been playing around with too many products but I do have three newer items added to my stash that I'll be mentioning!

Starting out with haircare, I've been loving the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. I've been switching between these and another brand, and this shampoo and conditioner are truly amazing! Honestly, I haven't had a shampoo and conditioner make my hair feel so soft and healthy in a long time. I had these sitting in my closet since before I moved in with my fiance, and I can't believe I waited so long to use them! The back of the bottle says this claims to control frizz for up to 48 hours, but I do tend to wash my hair everyday so I can't really say it does that. I do have to still use my leave-in conditioner and it seems like this combo I'm using now, my hair is really, really liking.

My next favorite is the Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in the Pink Sugarplum scent. I can't even describe how lovely this smells! It is very sweet, so if you don't like sweet smells too much, you may not like this. I, however, can't get enough of anything sweet smelling. My fiance actually had to grab this for me from the closet because I ran out of shower gel and didn't realize til after I was in the shower. He didn't know what to grab, so I just said grab whatever says shower gel on it, and this is what he picked. He did good!

These are the last few things I have. The next thing I've been loving was actually in my favorites last month and it's the Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream. Boy, do I love this stuff! It hydrates my eye area without being greasy and it just feels amazing going into the skin. I know I mentioned the smell of this being a little much, and I still agree with that. It is a bit overpowering, but this stuff works for me!

My next favorite is actually a newer product for me and it's the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara. Now this doesn't replace my beloved bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara, but I'm super impressed with this mascara. You only need one coat, it gives you lots of volume and it's super black too, which is awesome! I have fairly light eyelashes, so anything that darkens them up is a winner in my book.

My last two favorites are also new for me, and they're the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude and Black. First off, the Nude is amazing at lining the waterline. I hate how white eyeliner looks in my waterline, so I wanted to get a nude color instead. This stuff lasts so long and I got a really good deal on them too. The Rimmel eyeliners were 50% off so I only paid $2.50, which is a total steal. I used the Black eyeliner in my upper lash line and just smudged it a little so it didn't look so dark and harsh. I absolutely love how this looked and how easy it was to apply. I really think this is an awesome dupe for Urban Decay's Perversion eyeliner.

Well those are my favorites! I think this month I had a good variety of products. Stay tuned for my March Empties post, because I have so many products I went through, it's ridiculous!

Review: Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be talking about probably my favorite dry shampoo of the moment. This Suave Dry Shampoo Spray has been really good to me so far, so I figured I'd do a review on it!

First off, I'm sorry for the strip of light down the middle of the bottle. I tried taking numerous pictures with and without flash and this was the best one! Anyways, this little baby is pretty awesome. I had used a John Freida dry shampoo ages ago and it did nothing for me, so I gave up until one day I was browsing through the aisles of Walmart and this popped out at me. Suave is generally a good brand for haircare, and this cost me under $3, so I thought, why not? It's only $3 so even if it sucks, it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket. For some reason, I'm the person who has to wash their hair everyday or it gets oily. I know washing your hair everyday isn't good and I've been noticing I get split ends faster if I do wash it everyday, so that's why I bought this. I've been happy with this as it takes away that oily look my hair gets by the second day. I do have one small complaint though, my hair still feels "dirty", even when I use this. It doesn't bother me a whole lot, I mainly wanted to get rid of the oily, greasy look I get and this definitely does the job. Another little complaint is that this stuff doesn't seem to last for very long. Even though I only do a few little sprays, I go through this very quickly. A positive is that it smells very nice! It's a very fresh, clean smell. This is my second bottle, but I still am on the lookout for a dry shampoo that makes my hair look and feel less dirty, and last longer, so if anyone knows of a good one, please let me know!

Also, there are still 6 more days to enter my giveaway, so check it out if you haven't yet!

Follow me on Bloglovin as well, with GFC possibly going away along with Google Reader!

Have any of you tried this dry shampoo? Any suggestions for what else I can try?

Collective Fall Haul! Walmart & Ulta

So once again, I have another haul for you guys. I'm so bad for buying stuff that I promised my fiance that I'm not going to buy anything beauty related until Black Friday (womp womp :(). But you know what? I really am gonna try to keep my promise, so wish me luck! Anyways, lets get started with this haul!

Everything I bought combined

Suave, Rimmel and Maybelline products from Walmart. Real Techniques brush from Ulta
The first thing I bought is the Suave Dry Shampoo. I got this at Walmart I'm pretty excited to try this because I've heard a ton of good things about it, plus when I was in line to check out, the girl in front of me noticed I was buying it and she said it's the best thing she's ever tried. Plus, I only paid $2.50 for it, so even if I don't like it, it doesn't break the bank. Next, I bought the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This is probably the most exciting thing I bought at Ulta. I've been looking for this brush for a really long time because every time I would go to Ulta, they didn't have it in stock so when I noticed they did, I snatched it up right away. The next thing I got is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser for dark circles Treatment Concealer in the color fair. Obviously, I bought this because I get horrendous dark circles, especially this time of year with the weather getting colder. Plus, I work in retail, so the crazy holiday hours are fast approaching and I'll need all the help I can get! I've also heard a ton of good things about this too so I'm pretty sure I'll like it. Then I got the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in the transparent color because the next color they had was too dark for me (I really am paler than Casper). Again, I've heard a lot of nice things about this too and I think it'll be good for my oily skin.

Maybelline eyeshadows and OPI polishes from Ulta. Revlon and Pure Ice from Walmart

I'm going to talk about the nail polishes I bought at Walmart and the first one is by a brand called Pure Ice and the color is called Iced Merlot. It's a bit hard to tell in the picture, but it's a pretty wine red color with tiny hint of plum and it has silver shimmer to it. This polish was only literally under $2 so I don't have the highest hopes for it being the best, but I might do a review on it when I try it out. The last polish I got at Walmart is from Revlon Colorstay and it's in the color Cafe Pink. This is such a pretty light pink color and I know it's probably not the best Fall color, but I love light pinks like this and I think it'll look nice with my skin tone. Then at Ulta I bought two nail polishes and a top coat. They were having this sale where you bought 2 OPI polishes and received a top or base coat free, so I thought that was a pretty nice sale. I absolutely love the two colors I got! Probably my favorite one is from the new Germany Collection and the color is called Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorf's. I just love that name and it's this really pretty metallic purple color that's not too dark. the last polish I got is called Vampsterdam and this color is so stunning! It's so dark it almost looks black but it's a very dark plum color. I can't wait to put this on my nails! Lastly, I got two Maybelline Eyestudio quads. The one on the top in the picture is called Mad For Mauve and these colors look like they're going to compliment my hazel eyes nicely. The one on the bottom is a bit bold for me because I do love my neutral shadows but I really want to step out of my comfort zone a little. This quad is called Smokey Night and I love, love love the first two purple shades! I'm excited to really try these shadows though and see what looks I can come up with!

Well that's everything guys! I'm a little sad that I can't buy anything for nearly two months but hey, I think I can do it! (hopefully...)
