Hey everyone. Today's post is a bit different as I'm going to be sharing something that's very hard for me to talk about. A couple days ago, I posted a video on my YouTube channel about Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It's going on for the month of October, and there are ways to show your support! I'm going to link my video below, and yes, I know I'm still a noob with filming, so be nice to me.

Review: Proganix Quench Coconut H2O + Electrolytes Shampoo & Conditioner

Hello everyone! I had the awesome opportunity to try out the Proganix Quench Coconut line, and was sent the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in moisture and moisture balm. I haven't really used the latter two products, so today's review is just on the shampoo and conditioner. 

Here is a bit about the shampoo and conditioner:

Proganix's Quench Coconut H2O + Electrolytes Shampoo & Conditioner power-packed blend of quenching coconut water supercharged with electrolytes and weightless coconut oil, perfected in the salon to drench your hair in weightless hydration, transforming dry parched hair into silky shiny perfection.

These products are mainly to be used on dry or parched hair, but I have seen that it's for all hair types as well. 

Depending on where you buy this, I've seen a big price jump, ranging from about $6 up to $10 for each bottle. 

First off, this duo smells INCREDIBLE! If you're a fan of coconut like I am, you will love this. It doesn't smell overly heavy like some coconut scented products can. Since it's got a mix of coconut water and oil, it's alot more lightly scented. Everytime I use these, my hair ends up feeling silky soft and I get whiffs of coconut throughout the day. The shampoo lathers nicely and rinses out well, and the conditioner is very hydrating. I do have pretty fine hair, so for me it's great. If you have thick hair, the conditioner might not be enough for you, but you will probably like the shampoo. 

Overall, the Quench Coconut line gets two thumbs up from me. I haven't had any problems with my hair since starting to use this, but I find the price to be a bit high. I've found it's cheapest at Target online, and Ulta sells it the highest at $9.99 for each bottle. Would I purchase these myself? Eh, maybe. I have a pretty big stash of shampoos and conditioners to use up, so once I go through it, then I'd make that yes or no decision.

Review: Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

Hello everyone! If you know me, you know that Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands ever, and I collect the Vice palettes that come out every year. They came out with their Vice 4 palette for Holiday 2015, and today I bring you my review of it!

Here is some info on the palette from Sephora:

What it is:
A limited-edition palette packed with 20 gorgeous, never-before-seen shades, a huge mirror, a double-ended brush, and a chic bag.

What it does:
Urban Decay created Vice4, loaded with 20 gorgeous shades of their iconic Eyeshadow. It features a huge mirror, a double-ended brush, and a coordinating bag. This palette channels the darkly alluring, dimensional hues of an oil slick—inspired by their vintage shade name Oil Slick. These shades are filled with rich, deep jewel tones in a wide range of finishes—from velvety-smooth mattes and shimmering metallics to shades infused with micro-glitter. Each Eyeshadow in Vice4 is formulated with Urban Decay’s own Pigment Infusion System™, a proprietary blend of ingredients that deliver rich, velvety, blendable color that lasts and sparkle that stays in place.  

Taking a look at the colors, you can see just how pretty they are. I expect nothing less from Urban Decay by adding in those bright shades, but also some neutral ones as well. The double ended brush this comes with is alright, but I don't see myself using it. I love the bag the palette is housed in, as you can use it for a nice sized makeup bag for travel, or you can just keep the palette inside it for protection.

So, you can clearly tell by the shade name descriptions that they had a blast with micro-glitter. Usually, I don't mind that. But in all honesty, it kinda put me off to this palette. While swatching all the colors, I had so much fallout that I was pretty shocked by. Putting a brush in the colors kicks up product as well. While I still love Urban Decay as a brand, part of me thinks that they're lowering their quality lately, especially with holiday releases. I don't know if it's just me and my personal tastes changing or what, but if these shades didn't have as much glitter in them, I would sure love them more. Deadbeat, Pandemonium and Flame are beautiful shades, but they're some of the worst in the palette with the glittery fallout. I'm a fan of UD's matte shadows in general, so I have no complaints about the ones in this palette; Framed, Discreet, Bitter and Delete. The colors that I have loved the most are Underhand, Harlot, Robbery and Bones. 

For this palette being $60, I honestly expected a bit more from Vice 4. The colors are undeniably beautiful, and there are some real good ones that are easy to work with. Part of me regrets buying this palette, even though I'm a collector. 

I guess the main questions are, is this palette worth it, and do you need it? I hate to say this, but my answer is going to be NO to both questions (unless you're a crazy palette collector like I am). Maybe I just need to use it more to make a final decision but I truly feel like for the high price tag, it could be better. If you do want this palette, I purchased mine from the UD website, but it also is on the Sephora site.

Review: Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Hey everyone! I know, it's been a long time again since my last post. Life got a little crazy for a bit, and I just launched my YouTube channel, so the blog took a hit, and for that, I'm sorry! I have to get into a routine between the blog and YouTube, so bear with me til I can figure it all out! Anyways, today's review is going to be on the very much talked about Bioderma. I was so excited when Beautylish was able to stock this so we can now get it here in the states. 

Here is a bit about Bioderma from the Beautylish site:

Bioderma Sensibio H2O (also known as Créaline H2O) is a no-rinse micellar cleanser and makeup remover specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skin types. It can even remove water-resistant face and eye makeup! A soothing emollient thanks to cucumber extract, it clears up irritated skin and produces a feeling of instant freshness. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, paraben-free, and hypoallergenic. 

I use Bioderma by taking either a cotton ball or pad, soaking it with the Bioderma solution, and then gently remove my makeup. This is safe to use around the delicate eye area, and I've had no issues whatsoever with irritation. 

I have found this to be the most effective makeup remover that I have EVER tried, seriously. It takes off all foundation, concealer, lip product, eye product, just everything. I don't wear waterproof mascara, so I can't say if Bioderma removes it effectively, but with having usually two coats of mascara on my lashes, this removes it very easily. It removes eyeliner as well, but if I have eyeliner wedged between my lashes, it doesn't really remove all of it until I go in with my cleanser afterward. If I had a very light makeup day, most times Bioderma takes care of all my cleansing and toning needs and I can go straight into treatments and moisturizers. 

It's pretty safe to say that I'm in love with Bioderma,, and as long as I have the funds for it, I will continue to repurchase. Beautylish carries three different sizes: 

100 ml for $6.95
250 ml for $12.95
500 ml for $19.95

When I had originally purchased, I think Beautylish had a special deal going since it had just been launched, because I purchased a bundle of two 500 ml bottles and a 250 ml bottle for $39.95. I wish it was still on the site because that deal is just crazy. Maybe they will again at some point, who knows. They do also have different ranges for oily skin and dry skin, which is kinda neat. I'm tempted to try the one for oily skin, but since we're heading into colder months, I'll stick with this one for now!

September 2015 Ipsy Bag

Hey guys! It's been quite a few days since my last real post, and I'm sorry for that! I actually started up my own YouTube channel (you can see my first video here!), and I'm considering focusing on that maybe a little more than the blog. Maybe. I'm still figuring out exactly what I want to do. Anyways, a couple days ago I received my Ipsy bag for the month, and of course I have to share what products I got. 

The theme this month is Face Fashion. I think the bag everything came in is super cute too! It's actually a bag I can see myself using, and it's a bit wider than previous Ipsy bags. I just like the style of it for some reason. 

The first product I received is the Crown Brush Oval Concealer Brush. I already own a couple brushes from Crown, and they're not awful quality, but they're not great either. I typically use a Beauty Blender for concealer now, so I may save this for putting on eyeshadow bases. 

Next up is the tre'StiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon in a shade called Nantucket Nude. I feel like this is going to look horrendous on me with my fair skin. It's a shame because swatching it, it feels nice and creamy. I just look bad in nude colors.

Next is the Not Soap, Radio Revitalizing Hand/Body Lotion in the scent The Phoenix. To me, this smells really perfume-y and it makes me sneeze. I haven't tested it out, but I'll probably try it just to see if I have other reactions to it. 

Finally, a product that I'll use, for sure! It's a NYX eyeshadow trio that looks like it was made special for this Ipsy bag, which is pretty neat! The pigmentation isn't that amazing, but I'm sure with a primer it'll be fine. 

Lastly, another darn nail polish *sigh*. I don't know what else to do to get them to stop giving me nail polish! I feel like I get one in every other bag, and I've specifically graded any nail polishes badly in hopes they'll stop sending them. But, it is Formula X, and the shade I got called Ignite is pretty. I just don't wear nail polish regularly, so all the bottles I have are sitting there, probably very sad.

Fall Inspired Makeup feat. Colourpop La La
